It requires a trusted relationship, expert guidance, and the space to fully understand yourself.

Clinical Expertise

With over a decade of specialized experience, I work with adults who feel “stuck” after trauma, loss, or major life transitions. My goal is to help you move beyond survival and toward genuine growth and fulfillment.

I intentionally maintain a small private practice to provide high-caliber, individualized care for clients seeking meaningful, lasting change. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning professionals, veterans, or multicultural individuals who have tried other forms of therapy and are now ready for deeper, more transformative work.

I specialize in treating trauma-related concerns using evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Problem-Solving Therapy (PST). My approach is active, collaborative, and insight-driven—helping clients build practical tools to relieve persistent symptoms while fostering deeper understanding and self-compassion.

My work with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and anxiety is grounded in the most empirically supported treatments for trauma recovery: Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE). These gold-standard, first-line therapies are not only effective in reducing symptoms but also empower clients to understand the impact of trauma, reframe self-blame or guilt, and regain a sense of control. Unlike more technique-driven approaches such as EMDR, which emphasize passive desensitization, CPT and PE involve active cognitive and emotional processing. This engagement helps clients build lasting skills and confidence that extend far beyond trauma recovery and the therapy room.

Much of my clinical work has focused on supporting military service members and veterans, offering care that honors the distinct values, strengths, and challenges of military life. As a second-generation Asian American, I bring both my lived experience and advanced clinical training to create a culturally attuned, compassionate space. I understand that culture—whether military or otherwise—shapes identity, resilience, and one’s relationship to healing. My commitment to culturally sensitive therapy means your personal history, background, and lived experience are not just acknowledged—they are central to our work together.

My practice goes beyond traditional, insurance-driven care. Without the constraints of managed care systems, our sessions can be flexible, in-depth, and fully centered on your needs and privacy. This allows us to focus on long-term healing rather than short-term symptom management, creating space for meaningful, lasting transformation.
